Terms of Service
The basics of using invites.blog to create and send invitations.
Who we are
invites.blog is run under the trading name invitesblog, a business activity of CORBETT (registration no. SP31072026), RANGAL, Violet Magu, GDh. Thinadhoo 17100, Maldives. You can reach us at mohamed.imdaah@gmail.com or +960 781 9157. More on the Contact page.
Using the service
invites.blog lets you create, personalize, and deliver digital invitations. You’re responsible for the content you create and for having permission to contact the guests on your list.
Who can use it
You must be 16 or older to create an account or sign in. By signing in you confirm that you are. Guests don't need an account to open an invitation or reply to it.
Acceptable use
Don’t use invites.blog to send spam, unlawful, hateful, or misleading content, or to message people who have not agreed to hear from you. We may suspend campaigns that violate these terms.
What you post
You’re responsible for everything you put on invites.blog: event posts and their captions, comments and replies, photos and videos in albums, replies to invitations, your name and profile picture, and templates you publish. Other people see these, so we have one rule for all of them, and we apply it with zero tolerance.
Never post anything that is:
- harassment, bullying or abuse aimed at anyone;
- hateful, including slurs or attacks on anyone’s race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, sex, gender, sexuality or disability;
- threatening or violent, or encourages anyone to hurt themselves or others;
- sexual or nude, or sexualises or endangers children in any way;
- illegal, or something you don’t have the right to share;
- spam, a scam, or pretending to be someone else;
- someone else’s private information shared without their permission.
Reporting and blocking. In the app and on the website, every post, comment, photo and video, and every person, has a Report option. A report hides that item for you straight away. Block someone to stop seeing their posts, comments, photos and videos and to stop notifications about what they do; they aren’t told. You can unblock people in your account settings. You can also report anything by email to mohamed.imdaah@gmail.com.
What we do. We review every report within 24 hours. When something breaks these rules we remove it, and we suspend or close the account of the person who posted it. Comments and captions containing slurs or threats are refused before anyone sees them. Organisers can also remove comments, photos and videos from their own events at any time.
Payment
This section is about buying on the website. Buying in the Android or iPhone app is covered under Buying in the app below.
Making invitations, sharing your own links and collecting replies is free. A Gold or Platinum pass is paid once, for one event, and covers it for a year. "Keep your photos" is paid a year at a time. The Premium pass and Venue are subscriptions billed monthly. Both renew automatically by charging the card you bought them with, at the price then in force, until you turn off automatic renewal on the Billing page (or ask us to); the plan then runs to the end of the period paid. Invitations invites.blog emails for you beyond what a pass includes are charged per block of guests; a Free event includes none. Prices are in Maldivian rufiyaa (MVR) and your card is charged in Maldivian rufiyaa (MVR); dollar amounts shown next to prices are approximate. The total is shown before you pay, and you accept these terms at that step.
We accept American Express, Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and UnionPay cards. Card payments are processed in the Maldives by Bank of Maldives on its secure payment page. Your card details go to the bank, not to us, and we never see or store your card number (see Payment security). What you buy is delivered to your account online as soon as the payment is confirmed; see Refunds, cancellation and delivery.
Buying in the app
In the invites.blog app for Android and iPhone, Gold and Platinum passes, another year of a pass, "Keep your photos", emailed invitations and the Premium pass are bought through Google Play or the App Store. You pay Google or Apple, at the price the store shows you in its currency, under the store's own terms, and what you buy is delivered to your account in the same way as on the website. Venue accounts are not sold in the app.
The Premium pass bought in the app is a monthly subscription charged to your Google or Apple account. It renews automatically at the end of each month unless you turn off automatic renewal at least 24 hours before the current month ends. You manage and cancel it in your Google Play or Apple account's subscription settings, not on our Billing page; it then keeps working until the end of the month already paid for.
Refunds for purchases made in the app are decided by Google or Apple under their refund policies, so please ask them: Google Play through your Play account's order history, Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't refund a store purchase ourselves. When the store refunds a purchase, what it paid for is withdrawn from the event or account. If something you bought in the app hasn't arrived, contact us.
If you use the iPhone app, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies to your use of it, together with these terms.
Photos and storage
Every event can collect photos and videos from its guests. On Free an event holds 300 MB in one album, guests can add from the day before the event to the day after, and the photos are kept for good. A Gold or Platinum pass gives the event more space, more albums and more days, and keeps everything for a year. "Keep your photos" keeps everything for a year more. Free events show a small "Made with invites.blog" on the invitation and its albums.
When a pass (or Premium) ends, the event goes back to Free: guests can no longer add anything, everyone can still look, and up to 300 MB is kept for good. If the event holds more than that, we email you and send a notification at least 30 days before, then 7 days and 1 day before, and only what is above 300 MB is then removed (the cover photos and the earliest uploads are kept). Your invitation, guest list and replies are never removed with them.
Delivery
We work to deliver every invitation reliably, but delivery depends on third-party channels and the accuracy of the contact details you provide. Delivery and RSVP figures are reported on your dashboard on a best-effort basis.
Venue accounts
Venue accounts are for resorts and halls: a subscription billed monthly until you cancel it. A venue buys and renews Gold and Platinum passes for the events it runs at a discount. A venue charges its clients itself, at its own price: invites.blog takes no part in those payments, and the venue is responsible for what it tells its clients and for what they pay it. We may suspend a venue account that breaks these terms; passes it has already bought stay with their events.
Refunds
For what you buy on the website: a pass or “Keep your photos” can be refunded until guests start adding photos to the event or invitations are sent under it; after that it is not refundable. Invitations we have already sent are not refundable. The Premium pass and Venue can be cancelled at any time and run to the end of the period already paid, which is not refunded. Contact us if something went wrong and we’ll make it right where we can.
To ask for a refund, email mohamed.imdaah@gmail.com within 14 days of paying, with the event or account it was for. An approved refund goes back to the card you paid with, in rufiyaa; how long it takes to appear depends on your bank. Taking the payment back through your bank instead may suspend the pass or plan it paid for. The full policy is on Refunds, cancellation and delivery.
What you buy in the app through Google Play or the App Store is refunded by Google or Apple, as described under Buying in the app.
Keep a record
Please keep a copy of your payment confirmations and of these terms and our other policies. Your payments are also listed on the Billing page of your account.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use means you accept the current terms.
